Selling My Home
Getting your home ready for sale
Make the House as Bright and Inviting as Possible Make lighting in your home the "welcome sign" for home buying prospects. Turn on all the exterior and interior lights, including accent & picture lights. Light a fire in the fireplace.
Take a Ride While Your Home is Being Shown If homeowners are around during a showing, potential buyers will feel like intruders and be concerned about expressing their true concerns about the property to the agent and may hurry through your home rather than giving it a thorough inspection. Take a nice drive or walk with the kids while your house is being shown.
Shhhhhh! When your home is being shown, have all TV's turned off. Turn the stereo off, too, or put on relaxing music. Let your Pachtman Realty agent and your prospective buyers talk calmly without having to yell over any noise.
You May Love Your Pets, a Buyer May Not Pets are wonderful, except when showing your house. Unfortunately everyone may not have the same love of pets that you do and what's more important the prospective homebuyer may have allergies. Consider taking Spot or Tiger go for a drive as well.
This Is Not A Social Call If you're present, be courteous and friendly, but don't force conversation with potential buyers. They're there to inspect your house, not to be social. Let your Pachtman Realty agent show your home and handle the conversation.
Nor Is It a Garage Sale Don't try to sell potential buyers you don't want to take with you until after you have signed a contract. They haven't even bought your house yet. It could jeopardize the sale.
Trust Pachtman Realty To Do It Right Let Pachtman Realty negotiate with the buyers about price terms, possession date, etc. No deal will be complete without your input and final decision. We have the knowledge and experience necessary to get YOU the best deal.
